To continue its different activities the association needs additional equipment for the able-bodied assistants that accompany people with disabilities. Each summer paragliding enables many disabled people to “escape”, to discover the sensations of flying and enjoy spectacular viewpoints. The wing, purchased in 2000 is now outdated and needs to be changed for security reasons, as do the harness and reserve parachute. Furthermore, the purchase of a reserve parachute for the paraglider wheelchair has become indispensable when flying solo in order to comply with regulations and to be able to continue this activity. The All Terrain wheelchair activity is much appreciated in summer, making hiking paths accessible and the discovery of sporty and fun sensations in a magnificent panorama possible. We are gradually changing our fleet of equipment, and it has also become vital to acquire new helmets that conform to the regulations for this sports discipline. With the objective of improving communication between ski instructors and their pupils with visual impairments whilst skiing, and also to develop this discipline, the association would like to purchase a “Ski Voice” kit, composed of a transmitter for the instructor and a receiver for the skier, so that they may slide with more security. Do not hesitate to request a dossier by e-mail if you would like to have a more detailed description of the projected budget for these actions. |
